Accident Compensation status

ACC says its claims line is operating on 0800 101 996. Its Christchurch offices at Trust House and Charles Luney House on Oxford Terrace are closed until further notice, but ACC is continuing to work hard to locate safe, alternative premises in the long-term in the wider Christchurch area and beyond to ensure business continuity.

ACC’s Northwood branch will be open from “early this week” and will be staffed by about 30 staff including senior managers and an experienced specialist in accidental death claims. These staff will be able to assist with face-to-face inquiries about claims.

All levy invoices that were due to be sent to self-employed people and businesses in the Christchurch region are now on-hold. This will be reviewed on Tuesday, 22 March. ACC has also put on-hold any debt collection activity until this time.

If you are concerned about your levy or making a payment, including direct debit payments and payment plans, please contact ACC to discuss the options available to you. If any of your employees were injured in the earthquake then, if they have not already done so, the first step should be for them to see a treatment provider. The provider will help them fill in an ACC claim form and will send it to ACC. (Source: ACC website).
