Advice on establishing charity for earthquake donations

The Charities Commission website contains some information on the running of earthquake appeals by charities. The Commission says charities must first ensure their rules allow them to fundraise for the disaster before they launch an appeal. Charities are also advised to think about the practicalities of providing support and aid to a disaster. The Commission strongly advises careful consideration before starting a new charity in response to a disaster.
