Legal education

NZLS CLE Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the New Zealand Law Society. It is the major provider of post-admission education to the legal profession in New Zealand.

NZLS CLE Ltd offers a wide range of travelling seminars, workshops, special programmes for recently qualified practitioners, one-day and two-day specialist conferences and symposiums, advocacy and other training programmes.

Booklets

Background booklets are published for all seminars and conferences. These booklets provide thorough coverage of their topic and are a valuable ongoing reference. They often include precedents, checklists and an index of cases mentioned in the booklet or summary charts to help you keep pace with changing law and practice. All booklets contain a table of contents for quick reference. Booklets are available for purchase from the NZLS CLE Ltd website once the associated programme has been presented.

Who can attend?

CLE courses are mainly for lawyers and their staff. Non-lawyers are not precluded from registering for courses.

NZLS members and Associate members attend at a “members” rate.  Non-members incur a modest surcharge.
