The New Zealand Law Society has produced an updated version of its Christchurch Lawyers Relocation Directory.
The directory provides details of the new location and/or contact details for some of the Christchurch law practices which have been affected by the earthquake. The first version was published with information as at 14 March, while the new version is updated to 21 March.
The relocation of law practices in the city has created a need for up-to-date information on how clients or other lawyers can contact practices which are no longer operating from their old premises or which have changed their contact details.
Information in the directory is supplied by the law practices themselves, and only those practices which have asked to be included are listed. A number of Christchurch lawyers are practising from home or in temporary premises.
Brief contact details for most law practices in Christchurch are also available on the Law Society’s website at http://www.lawsociety.org.nz/home/earthquake_assistance/law_firms_status. This lists a contact phone number for law practices which have been in contact with the Law Society, but does not give details of location or other information.
The Christchurch Lawyers Relocation Directory, is available as a downloadable document on the Earthquake Assistance section of the Law Society’s website at http://www.lawsociety.org.nz/home/earthquake_assistance/.
A new version of the Directory will be published if more law practices provide information and request inclusion.
