Terms of reference
The Committee will:
-
Monitor developments in consumer law and suggest reviews to the appropriate agencies such as the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and the Law Commission.
- Liaise with such agencies on matters of policy.
- Provide comment to the NZLS Legislation Committee or appropriate agencies on legislative proposals and draft legislation which come within the ambit of the Committee’s work.
- Liaise with other NZLS committees and sections on matters of common concern or interest.
- Liaise, as required to facilitate the Committee’s work, with external organisations such as the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and Community Law Centres.
