Employment Relations Authority Chief James Wilson has written to regular users of the Christchurch ERA. Mr Wilson says the earthquake has affected the operation of the Christchurch Authority as its offices are within the red zone and cannot be accessed. He says this has interrupted processing applications, setting down telephone conferences and investigation meetings for Christchurch and other South Island Authority matters.
“If you have a specific inquiry about a current matter or one to be filed then please email deborah.downie@dol.govt.nz or carla.marsden@dol.govt.nz or telephone the Auckland office on 09 970 1550 or the Wellington office on 04 915 9550,” Mr Wilson says.
All new applications should be lodged with the Wellington office of the Authority. These will be processed as usual although Christchurch investigation meetings may be delayed due to the limited availability of venues at present.
If a matter is set down, a support officer will contact both parties to confirm whether or not it will be able to proceed as scheduled.
