New Zealand Law Society Hours
The New Zealand Law Society is closed from 5:00pm on Friday 23 December 2011 until 8:30am on Monday 9 January 2012. Our offices will be unattended during those dates and all emails and other communications will be dealt with from 9 January. We wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
Legal aid provider queries
Legal aid providers are required to submit applications to the Ministry of Justice by 31 December 2011 if they want to continue to provide legal aid services without interruption and to continue to be providers in 2012. The Ministry of Justice, Provider Services, is open from 28-30 December 2011 and 4-6 January 2012.

If you need to contact the Law Society about your application or your legal aid provider certificate of standing between 24 December 2011 and 9 January 2012, please call (021 0495 736 or email bronwyn.jones@lawsociety.org.nz.
Lawyers Complaints Service
The email address complaints@lawsociety.org.nz is unattended from 5:00pm on 23 December 2011 until 8:30am on 9 January 2012. All emails will be attended to after that time. If the matter is urgent, a contact phone number should be left and you will be contacted.
New Zealand Law Society branch offices
All Law Society branch offices will be closed from 5:00pm on 23 December 2011 until 9 January 2012, except the offices for the Nelson and Southland branches which will reopen on 16 January 2012.
