The Wellington branch of the New Zealand Law Society has organised a special Flying Start Programme for Wellington on Saturday 9 April and will give preference to South Island practitioners who want to attend.
The new session is aimed at assisting practitioners from Christchurch and other areas who were planning to attend a Flying Start course in Christchurch on 5-6 March. This has now been cancelled because of the earthquake.
The Flying Start programme is designed to provide training for lawyers who want to commence practice on their own behalf, and completion of the course is a requirement.
The Wellington session will be held on the 8th floor of the New Zealand Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington. The fee is $250 (GST inclusive). Practitioners who have paid a fee to attend the cancelled Christchurch session do not have to repay.
