We are recruiting for one position based in Auckland.
This role is the part time (4 hours per day) permanent position.
You will report to the Chief Judge of the Employment Court, who in practice delegates much of this role to the Service Manager/Registrar of the Employment Court, Operation and Service Delivery Group.
Apply your excellent research skills to interesting, meaningful and practical work. You’ll enjoy the challenge of undertaking legal research for the Employment Court Judges, writing legal opinions, providing memoranda for the Chief Judge on cases filed, keeping up to date with changes in common law and legislation relevant to the Employment Court, researching judgments, legislation and articles as requested and liaising with legal publishers as required.

You’re experienced at working to deadlines and so will have no problem managing the pressures of your workload while maintaining confidentiality. You will have an LLB with an excellent academic record and communication skills. An understanding of employment law is desirable, but not essential. You do not need to have been admitted to the bar. You will have good computer literacy.
