University of Auckland tops NZ 2014 QS rankings
The University of Auckland's law school has been ranked 28th in the 2014 QS World University Rankings for Law. this is the best ranking for a New Zealand law school.
The QS rankings system has been published annually since 2004 and uses a methodology developed by careers and educational advisory company Quacquarelli Symonds.
Of the other New Zealand law schools, the University of Otago has been ranked 37th and Victoria University of Wellington 49th. The University of Canterbury is listed in law schools ranked 51st to 100th, while the University of Waikato is in the group 101st to 150th.
Universities ranked lower than 50th are grouped in batches of 50.
The system for ranking uses six different ratings, with academic peer review contributing 40%. The New Zealand universities which were ranked are shown below, with the top 10 in the world.
