IBA annual conference, Seoul, 22-27 September
The International Bar Association (IBA) annual conference will feature leading international figures, including officials from the government and multilateral institutions, general counsel and experts from across all practice areas and continents.
It will also include three IBA Showcases to address bullying, sexual harassment and other barriers to diversity in the legal profession.
“The IBA’s annual conference is the central event of the international legal community’s calendar as it presents an unequalled opportunity to exchange knowledge and to create and renew a global network of colleagues and business contacts,” says IBA President Horacio Bernardes Neto.
“The 2019 programme will include over 200 sessions, which culminate in the inspiring Rule of Law Symposium. As always, there will be outstanding showcase sessions and the committee sessions will offer the chance to hear from the best experts in the field and will benefit all delegates, whichever your area of practice.
“I am also planning three IBA Showcases to highlight a selection of my presidential focuses, addressing bullying, sexual harassment and other barriers to diversity in the legal profession, creating of a refugee visa and the prevention of abuse and slavery and examining open and closed legal markets,” says Mr Bernardes Neto.
