New Zealand's lawyers work in a wide range of roles and organisations. Some have found the perfect job and never change employment. Other change roles regularly in a quest for a better workplace, better status and remuneration, lifestyle, more interesting work or the many other factors around job satisfaction. Feedback from the legal recruitment sector indicates that experienced lawyers are in demand, but new lawyers can find it hard to get on the employment ladder. In this issue we take a look at some aspects of employment in the legal profession.
