We are excited to celebrate the support that lawyers provide to the Wellington city, community and its culture, and are seeking to recognise those lawyers who contribute their skills in countless ways. 

To honor their efforts, and recognise the role of the profession in supporting society, we are proud to announce the search for our inaugural recipients of the below awards.

  • If you nominate another person/team without their knowledge, and they are selected as a finalist, then we will advise them of your nomination and confirm they agree to participate
  • Please note that if your nominee is successful at obtaining the award, your name as nominee may also but published in promotional material.

Explain the essence of this nomination and why the nominee should win. 

As well as describing the contribution made by the individual of team, we also welcome insights or reflection to the overall impact of the project participated in, including review or reflection on its effectiveness. Individual’s or teams who made strong contribution to a project that didn’t achieve the hoped for success should still set out their involvement and inspiration to seek change.  

Important: Show how the contribution demonstrates commitment from and/or community impact in the award area. 

If an individual is being nominated in their own right for the individual award, due to their individual contribution to a larger project, then please clearly identify the scope of their individual contributions to that project.

You may provide ONE short video featuring a programme, initiative or activity described in this nomination. 

If your video exceeds 15 minutes then please identify which part of the video is most relevant to the award.

Any pages over the limit will be removed and disregarded in judging.
