VUW students wins Windle Scholarship
Victoria University student Sam Bird, aged 18, has won the 2012 Peter Windle Scholarship to study law in England at Cambridge's Corpus Christi College.
Administered by Universities New Zealand-Te Pōkai Tara, the Peter Windle Scholarship was established in 2008 and is made available through the generosity of the late Mr Peter Windle.
The scholarship provides an opportunity for top South Island students to undertake a first degree at one of the most prestigious universities in the world. It pays for tuition fees, a living allowance and a return economy airfare to England. The scholarship is offered every three years, making Sam the second Peter Windle Scholar.
