Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Law - Hamilton

Te Piringa translates as 'the coming together of people'. The Faculty has over 1300 students and 40 staff and is housed in a contemporary, purpose-built facility.

As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer you will be expected to teach papers within the degree programme, lead the development of an appropriate research area, supervise postgraduate students and attract external funding to support your research speciality.

The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate papers and therefore should have a particular focus in one or more of the following areas: Criminal Law, Advocacy, Commercial Law and other core law papers. You will have demonstrated teaching experience, a developing or strong research record and the ability to contribute to postgraduate student supervision.

It is essential that you have a LLB or JD degree or equivalent or an LLM with equivalent professional experience. A PhD is also essential at Senior Lecturer level. Applicants will also need to have the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff along with the ability to contribute to faculty and university administration matters.

Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$77,402 to $93,220 per year and Senior Lecturers is $95,883 to $111,863 per year.
