Bullying and harassment webstream one of the best received

05 April 2018

The New Zealand Law Society’s webstream on dealing with bullying and harassment in the workplace is being tipped to be one of its most popular ever with an anticipated attendance of more than 2,000.

Wednesday’s live webstream featured employment lawyers Steph Dyhrberg of Dyhrberg Drayton Law, Hamish Kynaston of Buddle Findlay, and Susan Hornsby-Geluk of Dundas Street Employment Lawyers.

Hellen Papadopoulos, Chief Executive of NZLS CLE says that they are receiving excellent feedback on the webstream.

“We have had several webstreams with large numbers and this is tracking to be one of the big ones. At present the numbers are sitting at 1,911 registrations but this does not include all those who may have watched as part of a study group. Firms are still sending in the study group lists. We would expect that when the lists are in the number will well exceed 2,000.”

There were also a large number of questions sent in before and during the webstream. Time limitations meant that only some of the questions were able to be answered by the speakers during the webstream, so a complete set of questions with answers will be made available on the NZLS CLE website.

The webstream and accompanying resources including the questions and answers will be loaded onto the NZLS CLE website as soon as possible.

The webinar can be viewed again and anyone who registered the day before but couldn’t attend can also view it online.
