Buddle Findlay promotes nine senior associates

Buddle Findlay has promoted nine lawyers to senior associate.

Brett Rawlings. 

Brett Rawlings is based in Auckland and specialises in tax and advises clients on all tax aspects of domestic and international corporate acquisitions and structuring, inbound and outbound investment, and financing and financial services.

Brett was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in October 2011.

Jessica Wilsher. 

Jessica Wilsher specialises in corporate and commercial law and is based in Auckland.

Admitted as a barrister and solicitor in October 2009, her broad practice includes drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts and transactions, as well as advising on corporate governance and company law matters.

Kathy Wilson specialises in environment and resource management, local government, and public law in Auckland.  Kathy was admitted in July 2005.

She has appeared in the High Court, Environment Court, Boards of Inquiry and Council hearings and also represents clients in negotiations and mediations.

Diana Thomas specialises in public law and advises government departments, Crown entities and private clients on a range of public, regulatory and commercial matters.  

Admitted as a barrister and solicitor in August 2008, she is based in Wellington and advises clients on statutory decision-making, compliance with administrative law obligations and the legislative process, Privacy Act requests and preparing Privacy Impact Assessments.

Katie Williams is based in Wellington and specialises in financial regulation, payment law (including clearing and settlement systems), application of consumer laws to financial products, financial and energy derivatives, capital markets, funding agreements, corporate governance, company and commercial law.  

Katie was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in December 2011.

Victoria Brunton is based in Wellington and specialises in environment and resource management and local government law. Victoria was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in May 2009.

Her work includes advising government, local authorities and corporate clients on planning and consenting processes. She has worked for another large firm, the Ministry for the Environment, and as a planning solicitor for the Government Legal Services in London.

Rachael Balasingam is Wellington-based and specialises in environment and resource management, and local government law.

Her work includes advising government, local authorities and corporate clients on planning and consenting processes. Rachael was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in October 2011.

She  has worked for another large firm, a boutique resource management and local government firm, and the Office of the Auditor-General.

Danielle Elley in the Christchurch office specialises in general commercial and corporate law, commercial and residential property, and trust law.  

Danielle primarily advises on commercial and residential property acquisitions, leasing, financing (including refinancing, commercial and private lending) and corporate and private structuring. She was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in September 2011.

Jenna Silcock specialises in environment and resource management, and local government law and is based in Christchurch.  

She advises a wide range of local authority, government and corporate clients on a variety of resource management matters including RMA consenting, designations, district and regional planning, appeals and enforcement. Jenna was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in September 2011.
