Behind the Mask – web session on COVID-19 and diversity

The Race Relations Commissioner Meng Foon and the Chair of the Superdiversity Institute Mai Chen will lead an online session on the COVID-19 pandemic. They will lead a discussion on regardless of colour, ethnicity, language, religion, gender and (dis)ability, we all want to stay safe and to be respected, to give and receive kindness and to be able to trust again.

The one-hour Zoom webinar will be held on Friday (24 April) from 1pm.

Registration is free but numbers are limited.

Mai Chen is the Chair of the Superdiversity Institute, NZ Asian Lawyers (NZAL), SUPERdiverse WOMEN; Managing Partner of Chen Palmer; and Adjunct Professor, University of Auckland Faculty of Law.

Meng Foon is the Race Relations Commissioner; an NZAL Established Leader; and the former long-time Mayor of Gisborne.

Many more superdiverse New Zealanders will also be speaking.

Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts, reflection, research, analysis, wisdom and practical actions.
