Consultation opens on trans-Tasman e-invoicing framework

This article is over 3 years old. More recent information on this subject may exist.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) says its New Zealand Business number team is consulting on the trans-Tasman operational governance framework for electronic invoicing (e-invoicing).

Since its original development in Australia in 2016 by peak industry bodies, software developers and government agencies, the e-Invoicing framework has expanded and will require some variations to reflect the trans-Tasman relationship.

Some implementations of the e-Invoicing framework already exist in Australia and have proven feasibility, and provide assurances that introducing a trans-Tasman approach will be suitable for the purpose of testing and piloting.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, 16 November 2018.
