Minimum income requirement rise for some visa holders

Immigration New Zealand has raised the minimum income for some visa holders to reflect changes to New Zealand benefit rates.

From 13 May 2019, people holding Essential Skills and Religious Worker work visas must earn at least $32,322.76 a year if they have dependent children in New Zealand and their children's visas are dependent on their parent's work visa.

This is an increase from the current minimum of $42,944.20.

From 13 May 2019, people applying for the Samoan Quota Scheme and Pacific Access Category who have dependent children included in their application must earn at least $38,577.76. This is an increase from the current minimum of $38,199.20.
