The Ministry of Justice has advised the New Zealand Law Society that ministry staff are working with the organisers of demonstrations and rallies planned for 27 June, to minimise potential disruption to court services that day.

Justice for Moko rallies around the country will be held on Monday 27 June, starting at 9am to mark the sentencing of Tania Shailer, 26, and David Haerewa, 43 for the manslaughter of three-year-old Moko Rangitoheriri.

Large numbers of marchers are expected in many locations around New Zealand.

The ministry advises that court users should be aware of the potential for disruption.
