Just over 80% of applications made for the return of a child or children under the Hague Convention since January 2018 have involved Australia.
In the 18 months since January 2018, 51 applications for return have been made, with 41 involving Australia.
Justice Minister Andrew Little has released information on Hague Convention return applications in response to a written parliamentary question from National MP Mark Mitchell.
