The partners and staff of Barltrop Graham, Feilding, are saddened to report the passing on 8 October 2000 at the age of 70 of a friend and colleague, Rod Chisnall.
Rod worked for many years in the Feilding area as a general practitioner. Most of those years were spent as a Principal and latterly as a very active Consultant with Barltrop Graham.
A trained accountant, Rod had a keen and analytical mind that suited his work ideally. The number of colleagues from around the country at his funeral bore testament to the respect that Rod and his family enjoyed within the profession. His opinion was often sought and willingly shared. He was a well known figure in Manawatu legal circles and was the Feilding coroner for many years.
Rod and Liz's strong family values are obvious in their three children, of whom he spoke often and with pride. His two sons are partners in their respective law firms and a healthy crop of grandchildren ensure that the gleam in the eye and cheeky grin will not be lost.
Rod was a much loved husband and father, a loyal friend, a highly respected professional and a willing contributor to his community.
By no means a gentleman lawyer, Rod Chisnall was however in the best sense of both words, a gentleman and a lawyer. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
