The Directors at McCaw Lewis have announced Amanda Hockley has been promoted to Senior Associate. Amanda leads the firm’s Asset Planning Team and, having started her legal career with McCaw Lewis in 2009, she re-joined the whānau in 2017 after gaining experience in Australia.

Her promotion to Senior Associate recognises the growing role Amanda plays in the leadership of McCaw Lewis. In particular, in her role as the leader of the Asset Planning Team Amanda has shown an excellent ability to motivate people and build team culture. It’s a role she is keen to continue developing, saying “I have a huge amount of respect for the firm and the talented people that I work with. I’m excited to entrench myself in the Asset Planning Team and to have a part in the leadership of the firm.”

Amanda has experience advising on banking and finance in the property development and corporate areas, and has previously been part of our property and commercial teams. Her commercial knowledge is a real asset when working with clients ensure the most appropriate structure to protect their assets. In 2019 she became a trustee of ConneXu, a significant charitable trust established to support mentally and physically disabled people.
