Brett Crowley has been appointed Wellington’s Public Defender.

Brett is an experienced criminal law practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience in trial and appellate work.

He graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 1990 and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in September 1992.

He has been a litigation skills instructor with the Institute of Professional Legal Studies for some years, and also practises as a youth advocate.
