Chapman Tripp has announced the promotion of six new senior solicitors and one new senior legal advisor in its Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch offices, effective from 1 March 2016.

New senior solicitor Philip Ascroft is based in Auckland and specialises in corporate and securities law with a particular focus on equity capital markets. Philip acts for issuers, arrangers and underwriters on all aspects of IPOs and capital raisings.

Megan Pearce is a new senior solicitor in the Auckland office. She advises a wide range of clients in the private and public sectors on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. Megan specialises in the energy, infrastructure, IT and telecommunications sectors.

Ellen Thomson, senior solicitor, is based in the Wellington office. Ellen is a corporate lawyer specialising in regulatory and competition law. She works closely with clients across a wide range of regulated industries, including the telecommunications, energy and airport sectors.

New senior solicitor Russell Weir in the Auckland office advises clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters focusing on capital raisings, business acquisitions and corporate advisory work.

Lauren Adams has been appointed senior solicitor in Auckland and Christchurch. Specialising in litigation and dispute resolution, Lauren has experience in insurance, health and safety and employment disputes. She acts for clients on professional indemnity, statutory, general and products liability claims.

Kellie Arthur, senior solicitor, is based in Auckland and specialises in litigation and dispute resolution, with experience in a broad range of disputes, including reinsurance matters, commercial property disputes and general contract and tort issues.

Luke Bowers in the Auckland office has been appointed a new senior legal advisor. Luke specialises in corporate and securities law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. He advises clients on a wide range of corporate transactions.
