After more than 20 years since she co-founded AlexanderDorrington Lawyers, Debra Dorrington is stepping down from her role as a director and owner of the firm.

Debra remains a lawyer, mentor, leadership guru and change agent, and she will stay at AlexanderDorrington in the short term to support the firm into the post COVID-19 world.

The firm was founded in 1999 and has expanded from just three people at its inception to a team in excess of 20 at times. The firm currently has a team of 17.

Debra and co-founder Craig Alexander openly intended to make way for successors after executing a ten-year plan. However, with a succession plan in place, it was decided not to be the right time.

Debra is considering further ventures including in-house counsel, or working in and around climate change matters or social housing. Both are causes she takes particular interest in.

For the past five months Debra has been on sabbatical. Denise Marsden and Jourdan Griffin have been leading the firm.
