Lawyer appointments to tertiary councils

Three members of the legal profession are among eight appointments and reappointments made to the Victoria University of Wellington and Auckland University of Technology councils.

Former lawyer Dame Patsy Reddy has been appointed to the Victoria University of Wellington Council. Dame Patsy is a chief Crown negotiator for Treaty of Waitangi settlements, and a lead reviewer for the Performance Improvement Framework for the State Services Commission.

Lyn Lim, one of the founding partners of boutique law firm Forest Harrison, has been reappointed to the Auckland University of Technology Council. Ms Lim's current governance roles include the Centre for Social Impact Ltd, Foundation North, Asia New Zealand Foundation, Public Trust and the Auckland Regional Amenities Funding Board.

Sanderson Weir Special Counsel Lex Henry has been reappointed to the Auckland University of Technology Council. Mr Henry is the Pro-Chancellor of the AUT Council, a trustee of the AUT Foundation, and a trustee of AUT Millennium.
