The Resource Management Law Association (RMLA) has appointed Mary Hill as President.

Mary, a Partner at Tauranga firm Cooney Lees Morgan, was elected president at the RMLA’s annual conference. She was formerly the secretary of the RMLA’s national committee.

Initially focussing on commercial litigation, regulatory and information law, Mary specialises in resource management, planning and local government law. She also has a Masters in in Commercial Law from the University of Auckland.

The RMLA was founded in 1992 and has over 1100 members representing a range of multi-disciplinary views of people involved in environmental and resource management policy.
