Russell McVeagh was the New Zealand Tax Firm of the Year at the International Tax Review 2019 Asia Tax Awards. The awards were announced in Singapore on 9 May.

Firms shortlisted for the awards were assessed according to three primary metrics: transactional value, complexity, and innovation for matters completed between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2018.

The New Zealand winners, and shortlisted firms were:

New Zealand Tax Firm of the Year: Russell McVeagh. Shortlisted were Chapman Tripp, Deloitte, EY and KPMG.

New Zealand Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year: KPMG and Deloitte. Shortlisted were EY and Russell McVeagh.

New Zealand Tax Disputes & Litigation Firm of the Year: Russell McVeagh. Shortlisted were Bell Gully, Deloitte, EY Law and KPMG.
