Christchurch law firm Cavell Leitch has won the New Zealand country award at the Euromoney Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2015.

The awards were presented in Hong Kong on 11 November 2015 and are managed by Euromoney magazine, headquartered in London.

The awards have the objective of celebrating the advancement of women in the legal profession in Asia.

As well as the winner, Cavell Leitch, the finalists for the New Zealand country award were Bell Gully, Chapman Tripp, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, Russell McVeagh, and Simpson Grierson.

New Zealand law firm Bell Gully won the award for the best gender diversity initiative by a national firm. Cavell Leitch was also among the finalists for this award.
