Barrister Paul Morten has joined Harbour Chambers in Wellington. 

Paul is a civil litigator with more than 30 years' experience. He practices in Wellington and in Auckland. Paul has a particular interest in commercial litigation; land law (including resource management) and commercial and residential property litigation; real estate law; employment law; defamation; and professional disciplinary issues (including in the areas of education, teaching, and chartered accountancy). 

Paul has successfully appeared in hearings, trials and appeals in most New Zealand courts, and in various specialist jurisdictions and tribunals. He was co-counsel for David Bain in the successful Privy Council leave to appeal and appeal; and in the High Court retrial. He is also Deputy Team Leader at the New Zealand Law Society's junior litigation skills course.
