Senior Partner of Kaikohe’s Palmer Macauley Lawyers, Peter Macauley, has been made a Knight of St John by the Governor-General Dame Patsy Reddy.

Peter recently stepped down after 32 years as chairman of St. John’s Kaikohe Area Committee, remaining the committee’s deputy chairman.

Peter is also a Life Member of the Kaikohe and Districts Memorial RSA, the Kaikohe Rugby Club and the Lloydd Morgan Lions Clubs Charitable Trust. He acts as the honorary solicitor for a number of clubs and sporting bodies.
