Queenstown barrister Deborah (Jane) Taylor has been appointed to chair Landcare Research.

Ms Taylor's appointment as chair of the Crown Research Institute is effective from 1 July 2015.

Admitted as a barrister and solicitor in May 2003, Ms Taylor is also a chartered accountant. She has extensive governance experience and is on the boards of Silver Fern Farms, Radio New Zealand Ltd, and HGL New Zealand Ltd.
