Wynn Williams has welcomed Katrina Hammon as a partner in the Auckland Corporate team and congratulates three senior associates on their promotion to Partner. Greg Simms and Shane Campbell in the Dispute Resolution team and Jenny Turner in the Private Client team.

Katrina Hammon is a nationally recognised retail expert. Katrina joins the firm from Duncan Cotterill with a wealth of experience, including in commercial contracting, mergers and acquisitions, consumer law, retail leasing, franchising and licensing. Katrina is very well known across New Zealand and Australia, and is regarded as a leading retail, supply chain and franchise lawyer. She represents leading New Zealand manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers as well as a growing number of international companies who export to New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region either directly or via joint ventures, master franchises or other forms of licence arrangements with locally based companies. Katrina has wide-ranging experience in the retail, grocery, distribution, travel, fashion, manufacture, hospitality, beauty and hair, medical and consumer finance services sector.

Greg Simms specialises in commercial dispute resolution. He has extensive experience in a broad range of commercial litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigations. Greg advises clients in the private and public sectors on disputes involving commercial contracts, company law and directors’ duties, professional liability, product liability, insurance and construction. He appears before courts and tribunals at all levels.

Greg joined the firm on returning to Auckland after working in London at a Magic Circle firm where he led teams on complex and high value commercial disputes and investigations across multiple jurisdictions. Greg has a master's degree from the University of Oxford where he was top of his class in international dispute resolution.

Shane Campbell specialises in commercial litigation, with particular expertise in contract and company matters, trusts and estates, negligence, construction, debt collection, and declaratory proceedings. Shane regularly appears in courts at all levels and in disciplinary tribunals for professional liability matters. He was a Judges' Clerk for the High Court and is currently a member of the New Zealand Law Society Civil Litigation and Tribunals Committee.

Within the Dispute Resolution Team, Shane is a mentor to junior lawyers including law clerks, solicitors and associates. Shane regularly writes articles that are published in academic journals and has presented seminars for the New Zealand Law Society.

Jenny Turner has extensive experience in a broad range of property matters including residential, commercial and rural property sale and purchase transactions, leasing, financing and property development. Jenny works together with a wide range of clients including buyers and sellers of property, small business owners, and both commercial and residential landlords and tenants. She is experienced in property projects and advice in the Local Government space. A particular area of expertise in Jenny’s practice is estate planning, asset protection planning and ownership structuring.
