Entries in the inaugural World Justice Project Anthony Lewis Prize for Exceptional Rule of Law Journalism close on 10 February 2016.

The US$10,000 prize is open to journalists around the world and has been established to commemorate Anthony Lewis (1927 - 2013), a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and journalist who is credited with transforming legal journalism in the United States.

The annual competition has been created by the World Justice Project to acknowledge journalists from around the world who have contributed to increased awareness and understanding of the foundational importance of the rule of law.

Entries for the prize opened on 22 December 2015 and close on 10 February 2016. The winner will be announced in May 2016 by the judging panel. Journalists may be nominated or enter themeselves.

The prize will be awarded to a current journalist or team of journalists working on an in-depth series who has demonstrated excellence in rule of law reporting.

The World Justice Project is an independent, multidisciplinary organization working to advance the rule of law around the world.
