Sarah Martin took out the first prize with her essay on “The Development of the Law on a Builder’s Duty of Care”.

The runner-up was Carlos Smith-Diaz with an essay on “Where are my Retentions? Insights from the Ebert Construction Insolvency and Practical Advice for Subcontractors”.

Sarah and Carlos will present their essays in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland in August, and their papers will be published to the members only area of the Society’s website shortly.
