Two new organisations added to ACC independent advice options

This article is over 3 years old. More recent information on this subject may exist.

ACC has added two new independent agencies from 2 September 2019 to the options available to help clients navigate ACC.

ACC says the move to expand the range of independent advice aims to help remove barriers, improve understanding of the available support, and makes sense of the process involved in making an ACC claim.

The ACC Navigation Service will now fund Way Finders and Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency to provide free advice and advocacy to clients about ACC. The two agencies join Workplace Injury Advocacy Service.

Way Finders is based in Auckland. It says it is community-based.

Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency says it is a culturally-based, and whānau-centred approach to wellbeing.

ACC says the service is open to anyone who has ACC claim-related questions.
