Lawyers Complaints Service: Interim suspension

This article is over 3 years old. More recent information on this subject may exist.

Robert John Moody of Auckland has been suspended on an interim basis by the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal.

The Tribunal made the interim suspension order on 16 November. Effective immediately, the order suspended Mr Moody until a charge he faces has been heard and determined by the Tribunal.

The reasons the order was made include the fact that Mr Moody is facing serious allegations of gross overcharging and other improper charging practices and because of his acknowledged deterioration in his health and capacity to provide legal advice.
