About the role

Lowndes Jordan is seeking an exceptional associate with strong technical skills, initiative and detail orientation who enjoys advising clients on a range of commercial and corporate law matters. You will enjoy working with a reasonable amount of autonomy, thrive on client contact and benefit from being well supported by your supervising Partners. Your clients will range from tech start-ups to SME’s and large corporates – the work is high quality, varied and exciting!

This role will advise on a wide variety of legal matters, including a mix of M&A structuring and transactional work, as well as a range of usual commercial advisory work for regular clients.

What we’re looking for

• A skilled solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE, perhaps gained working in a top tier or boutique law firm, who holds (or is entitled to hold) a current NZ practising certificate.
• Strong experience in corporate and commercial law, including M&A experience.
• The ability to build strong relationships and client focussed.
• Mature and flexible approach.
• Excellent contract drafting, writing and negotiation skills.
