About the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Davenports Law growing Trusts team as an Associate, where you can continue to build and refine your skills under the supervision of the firm’s Director, who is a leading Trusts & Asset Planning specialist. You’ll be liaising directly with private clients so must be adept at building relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on asset structuring and relationship property
  • Reviewing trust documentation
  • Preparing all documentation in relation to varying trust deeds, resettling assets, appointment and removal of beneficiaries and trustees, deeds of acknowledgement of debt and trustee resolutions
  • Preparing and advising on wills and enduring powers of attorney
  • Liaising with banks and financial institutions
  • Preparing all documentation in relation to the establishment of trusts
  • Answering client, accountant and other advisor issues in relation to trusts

About you.

To be successful for this role you must be professional, reliable, hard-working and enthusiastic with exceptional organisational and communication skills. You must be able to balance multiple projects and tasks in order to provide ethical, timely and accurate levels of quality service to clients and supervisor(s).

You will be expected to:

  • Perform all duties required of the role at a high level
  • Have a proven record of billing and collecting a sufficient number of hours to achieve budget
  • Independently run own files
  • Provide exceptional customer service and attract, retain and service clients and develop strong client relationships
  • Attend marketing and networking events, as required
  • Participate in and attend seminars and training
  • Exhibit a personality and behaviour that fits within the culture and values of the firm – mutual respect, achievement, balance, enjoyment, collaboration
  • Display a natural ability to work as a team player
  • Actively engage with leadership and mentoring and support of others
  • Supervise junior staff
  • Be committed to the firm's success and act in the best interest of the business at all times
