The College of Law is a school of professional practice for lawyers in Australia and New Zealand. We are the largest provider of practice-focused legal education in Australasia and recognised as one of NZ’s leading providers of online education.

Applications are sought from candidates for two positions on the Board of The College of Law New Zealand Ltd.
One of these positions requires an experienced legal professional recognised for their standing in the legal community and contribution to the development of learning and knowledge in the profession.
Commercial and strategic acumen is essential and the ability to work with the Australian parent company.
Governance experience is required and the potential to succeed the current Chair of the Board would be highly valued.
The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the legal and tertiary education sectors is important.
The second position does not require a background in the legal profession and may come from a range of sectors.
Experience in the education sector in terms of practical and applied learning is welcomed as will be a knowledge of changing trends in pedagogy, student needs and pastoral care.
Knowledge of technology and applications in the Edutech sector with experience in learning instruction, online interaction and support is welcomed
You may be a CEO or Senior Leader with sound commercial skills, contributing to the development of strategy and monitoring performance of an organisation.

The Board hold seven meetings per year, a mix of in person and online including Australian Directors. Directors fees are paid at appropriate market rates
