Deputy Judicial Conduct Commissioner

Expressions of Interest are sought from suitably experienced candidates for appointment as Deputy Judicial Conduct Commissioner pursuant to s.8A of the Judicial Conduct Commissioner and Judicial Conduct Panel Act 2004.

The role of the Deputy Commissioner is to receive and examine complaints about the conduct of Judges for the purpose of enhancing public confidence in, and to protect the impartiality and integrity of, the judicial system.

Appointments to this position are made by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the House of Representatives and the term of appointment is not less than two years and not more than five years (reappointments may be made).
