The Office Public Defender is primarily responsible for leading the legal staff and developing the strategies and practices required to enable the office to continuously improve delivery of its services. This role requires a seasoned leader who is able to drive the development of leadership capability in the office to support an engaged, high-performing workforce.

The Public Defence Service (PDS) is a strong, independent, professional, people-centred criminal law practice, providing high quality legal advice and representation in a full range of criminal cases. Salary Range per annum: $138,855 (85%) - $196,030 per annum (120%). Starting salary will be dependant on the successful candidates skills and experience.
