Under the provision of the Local Government Act 2002 Council may appoint non-elected members to its Committees if it considers such appointees are able to assist the work of Council.
Council resolved on 24 November 2022 to appoint an independent chair and an independent member to its Risk and Assurance Committee.
Accordingly, Kāpiti Coast District Council invites applications for the positions of independent chair and independent member of the Risk and Assurance Committee.
Applicants are invited to submit a CV along with a covering letter showing skills, attributes and knowledge relevant to the work of the Risk and Assurance Committee.

The initial period of appointment would be three years from the date of appointment and attendance at meetings and associated expenses will be remunerated in line with Council’s Non-Elected Members’ Fees Framework.
