2+ years PQE - $80k-$135k plus Kiwisaver and flexible working options/benefits
E nga roia, take Māori, ture Māori, he turanga mahi e watea nei.
We are looking for a solicitor who has 2+ years' PQ experience to join our busy, friendly Māori Legal Team at Rainey Collins.
In the business for over 100 years, our well-respected firm assists clients throughout New Zealand and overseas. We have always moved with the times; offering modern, attractive, offices in the CBD, flexible working to suit all team members’ circumstances, and a family-focused work environment.
We are looking for a lawyer with at least 2 years’ PQE in Waitangi Tribunal work and Legal Aid lead provider status to work primarily in our Māori Legal Team. We are looking for an applicant with strong verbal and written skills, an excellent academic record, and a focus on delivering clients a high level of service.
If you are looking for an opportunity that offers:
...we’d love to discuss the role with you.
We are committed to very high standards of service to our clients and a balanced lifestyle for all who work with us. We don’t expect long hours or excessive billings from our people to earn really well, as we start with market-leading salaries comparable with much larger law firms, and tailor each person’s work plan to their particular role and desired work life balance, in which all work is valued.
You’ll be free to take the responsibility, and commensurate personal accountability, to organise performance of your role flexibly to suit your lifestyle interests, family, and other non-work commitments, if you want to.
We guarantee continuous clarity for our people around their roles and our expectations, and provide monthly formal sessions with your supervising partner for feedback and dialogue, as well as having regular opportunities for feedback and discussion with partners and team members.
We walk the talk in caring about our people, and focus on ongoing skills development with interesting and challenging work, very good training and mentoring, and career progression, in a supportive team of colleagues.
Standard benefits include an extra day off on your birthday, income protection insurance, monthly firm lunches, a cell phone, an active social club, and of course the legendary scones baked in-house every Friday!
Remuneration will be offered at a market-leading level, based on experience and demonstrated capabilities, and is regularly reviewed.
Please apply in the strictest confidence by forwarding your CV together with a copy of your academic transcript and any written references to Peter Johnston, Partner, care of smainprize@raineycollins.co.nz
