What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prepare and manage FMCA and ASIC licensing applications.

  • Lead work on Information Memorandums (IMs) and Product Disclosure Statements (PDSs).

  • Provide advice on compliance with the Financial Markets Conduct Act and Australian regulations.

  • Support legal and regulatory obligations across both New Zealand (FMA) and Australia (ASIC).

  • Oversee legal compliance reporting, including unlisted public company annual disclosures.

  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and provide general legal advice across the business.

  • Provide property law support, including leasing, acquisition and project-related advice.

  • Collaborate with a deeply experienced external lawyer who brings significant expertise in this area.

  • Operate in a fast-paced and intellectually engaging environment, working alongside a high-performing senior leadership team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 6–10 years’ PQE, ideally with experience in financial services, commercial, property or corporate law.

  • In-depth understanding of the FMCA and its application in practice.

  • Proven experience preparing annual reports and disclosures for unlisted public companies.

  • Exposure to cross-border legal and compliance work (New Zealand and Australia).

  • Confident working alongside external counsel and engaging with regulators where required.

  • Comfortable providing clear, strategic legal advice at executive level.
