Cooper Legal is a small, specialist litigation firm, based in Wellington. We practice primarily in the fields of human rights and negligence for a very large client group. We also work with the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care.
We are seeking one or more lawyers to join our team. Ideally the lawyer would have 1-4 years PQE in litigation, but we will consider a graduate who has been admitted to the bar with good grades in tort, family law, civil procedure or similar papers. We are also seeking to diversify our team, and welcome applicants who identify as Māori or Pasifika.
You must either be a Civil Legal Aid Provider or be eligible to apply. You must be resilient and a hard worker and be prepared to deal with challenging situations. Good people skills and an understanding of working with vulnerable people are a must.
A full driver's licence is required, as some travel is a requirement.
