About the role

This role is something special and your chance to become a key member of this industry leading business. As sole legal counsel supporting the Executive Director – Legal, you will provide property and general commercial law advice across the group to ensure all legal matters are in good hands.

As part of a friendly and supportive head office team, you’ll work with a wide variety of stakeholders across the business, on a wide range of day-to-day legal matters.  With a natural interest in business and people, you’ll get to know your stakeholders, understand their business needs and, working closely with them, provide both legal and commercial, support and advice.  Well supported by your manager and external legal advisors, you will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of property and commercial contracts dealing with all aspects of legal risk including dispute management.

What we’re looking for

• A commercially savvy lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE
• Good quality experience in property law and commercial contracting
• Excellent communication skills with genuine interest in business and people
• A willingness to “make the call” on both legal and commercial issues to all the business to move forward
• Ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Previous inhouse experience is preferred, but not essential
