About the Law Society

The New Zealand Law Society Te Kāhui Ture o Aotearoa is the professional body for barristers and solicitors in New Zealand. The Law Society regulates all lawyers practising in New Zealand and is the membership organisation for practising lawyers. With 13 branch offices throughout the country, the Law Society is the Kaitiaki (guardian) of the practise of law in Aotearoa New Zealand and the consumers of legal services.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, Marketing and Communications, you will have a passion for clear communications and results-driven marketing. You will provide best practice strategic communications and marketing solutions to staff across the Law Society, and take a lead on managing campaigns that engage our audiences.

We're a supportive team and you will enjoy working collaboratively as well as rolling your sleeves up and delivering a high standard of work within a busy environment.

Demonstrating initiative, you achieve objectives by working to a plan. You're comfortable in your ability to juggle multiple initiatives at once, responding with flexibility and a positive 'can do' attitude.

This position offers a great opportunity to lead campaigns and make improvements across a variety of channels.

The ideal applicant will have:

• Preferably a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or other relevant qualification.
• At least seven years' experience developing and delivering marketing and communications campaigns.  
• Evidence of taking the lead on marketing and communications projects that have delivered the desired results.  
• Experience using a range of marketing channels and distribution strategies, including but not limited to campaigns, digital marketing, social media, public relations, and advertising.  
• Understanding of commercial needs and drivers and how to translate those into positive outcomes for your organisation.  
• Great writing skills and the ability to produce engaging content for a range of channels and audiences.
